The 2021 Vin de France Hypnotic by Frédéric Mabileau showcases 100% Pineau d’Aunis, presented in a clear glass bottle and sealed with a crown cap. Its appearance reveals a charming pale pink hue, reminiscent more of onion skin or rose gold than conventional pink. This delicate coloring is accompanied by a fresh and aromatic nose, redolent with verbena and violets, intertwined with subtle hints of redcurrant, raspberry, and peach. On the palate, it offers a generous volume, delicately balanced, with a broad effervescence supporting layers of fresh peach and redcurrant flavors, complemented by floral notes echoing the aroma, and a refreshing acidity. The finish is accented by a light peppery twist, characteristic of Pineau d’Aunis, along with nuanced floral fruit flavors.
